When the seasons change in mid-January in India it means different festivals across the diverse country. In the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the harvest celebration is called Pongal. Outside of the city of Madurai the headline event is Jallikattu, India's version of the Running of the Bulls. Oh, and you should also try not to die. It is a deadly sport which makes the antics in Pamplona look like child's play. You know you're in a different place far from home when you see something like this.
